STATUAE VIVAE
2007 - 2021
The Project “Statuae Vivae” shows some photos taken by Sergio Visciano which involves details of roman statues found in the most prestigious Italian museums such as in Rome, Naples, Baia.
The statues therefore are rendered human by zooming and capturing gestures and movements; others acquire universal qualities in which the sculptor seems to have taken on inspiration representing “the Idea”.
Ageless feelings emerge evaporating from within the stone where they once remained imprisoned in solitude for centuries.
